Charleston, S.C.

Monday, May 13 - Wednesday, May 15, 2013

Just under the bridge we reached our destination, The Harborage at Ashley Marina. Southern hospitality - that sums up our experience in Charleston. Tony and Shirley had the forethought to call the Charleston habor hosts. (Something they had never done before.) Jenny and Jerry Reves were ready with offers of a tour and a dinner invitation. Shortly after tying up Jenny came by to give a quick tour to get our bearings. She drove us around for nearly 2 hours did an excellent job. She pulled around to her house so we would know where to meet them dinner tomorrow, then offered us their car until then! We all hesitated.... was she serious! Jenny had pointed out places to visit that we would need to drive too; plantations, Sullivan's Island and the homes along the Battery. Gratefully we agreed and off we went.
