We Opted to Skip This Remedy
Mike and I had some business to attend to so Tony and Shirley moved ahead. Green Cove Springs has been our official residence since we sold our house last year. The city is south of Jacksonville along the St. Johns River. It's a small, quite community. Mike and I rented a car for the day to explore and get some our business done. The license bureau was the most efficient we had experienced. In 45 minutes we had Florida driver's license! Not a piece of paper stapled to your old one. We drove through Ortega Landing on the way back, looking for looper but did not see anyone aboard any of the boats. We returned the car and heading north the next morning.

Fernandina Beach

This would be our last stop in Florida. We planned to catch a mooring ball again but this field was much tighter. I hooked the ball then we sat back and watched the Irish Attitude sashay in the breeze and currents.  This did not look good. Just to close to the sailboats near us. We moved onto a ball near Headquarters, a 48' Sea Ray. Still we swayed too close. Our boat does not swing like a keel boat or any other boat it seems. Rather then loose a nights sleep we called the harbormaster and requested a spot at the dock. They kindly allowed us to stay for no extra charge and we hooked up our electricity for free too! Sometimes we catch a break!
